Woodwise Affiliates
Who is a Woodwise Affiliate?
A Woodwise Affiliate is a person who is authorised to deliver Woodwise operator competence training on a given range of woodworking machinery.
They are also authorised to assess newly trained operators on their competence, with a view to issuing them with The Safe Use of Woodworking Machinery Certificate, a City and Guilds backed certificate of competence listing the machines on which candidates have achieved the minimum level of competence.
Woodwise Affiliates are drawn from a variety of organisations and occupations including:
- Woodworking machinery operators
- Woodworking machine shop supervisors
- College tutors
- Professional woodworking machinery trainers
- Industry based woodworking machinery trainers
- Woodworking machinery installers
